Art and creativity has always been a huge driving force in my life but I came to Illustration in a roundabout way, having first studied for a degree in Horticulture in the Irish Botanic Gardens. To me the connection between horticulture and art is clear, it’s a force of nature thing and it wasn’t difficult to make the change to Illustration in 2002, when I went to Italy to study Illustration in the Academia D’Illustrazione di Roma. I furthered my studies in 2009 with a Diploma in Children’s Book Illustration under Adrienne Geoghegan at the Dublin Independent College.
Since 2003 I’ve taken on both Garden design and Illustration work but in 2010, I made the decision to concentrate my creative efforts solely on Illustration. I’ve worked freelance for Oxfam Ireland,
Kilruddery Historic House and Gardens, Renvyle House Hotel in Connemara, and also various children’s books (not yet published) and album artwork.
I hope you’ve connected to the artwork on this website. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have regarding the services offered in these pages and so please get in touch with me through my Contact page or follow me through the links below.
